Minimum academic requirements for Undergraduate certificate, diplomas, and degrees
All applicants must have attained a certain level of proficiency in English and are required to submit evidence of this
English Home Language (HL): National Senior Certificate (NSC) Level 4 OR English First Additional Language (FAL): NSC Level 5 is required for all UL academic programs. It should be noted that when calculating the APS, the extra points apply to any of the official languages used as the HL.
The results of applicants’ South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations determine the minimum requirements.
Applications with certificates from a different examination system will be considered for admission on an individual basis.
Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to a study program at the University of Limpopo. Your admission will be decided based on your academic performance and the availability of space in the program. It is preferable to meet the bare minimum.
