Application dates, timelines, and Schedules

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) online application system for all first-time and returning applicants to Kenya universities and Tvet Colleges has officially opened. Applicants can use this system to apply to any university or Tvet College of their choice between May 17, 2024, and June 7, 2024. To ensure that all requirements are met, all 2023 KCSE candidates who applied for courses at the school may choose to change their selections. Those who did not apply in person at the school must also submit their application within the allotted time.

When to apply to a University or Tvet College in Kenya

Applications for the 2025 academic year will be accepted by Kenyan universities and TVET colleges between April 1, 2024, and October 31, 2024. You will have to wait until May 2024 to apply for university and Tvet College admissions if you would prefer to use the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). On May 17, 2024, we anticipate that KUCCPS will open its application portal.

Universities and Tvet Colleges Application Fee Required

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) application fee varies based on the application stage. For university or Tvet College applications, it is Ksh500, and for choice revision, it is Ksh 1,000. Please note that the application fee is non-refundable

Who is eligible to apply to Tvet College or Kenyan University?

Admission to degree programs for the 2024 academic year is restricted to students who scored a C+ or higher on the KCSE examination in 2023.

Form Four Leavers who took the KCSE exam between 2000 and 2022 and were never placed by KUCCPS are qualified to apply to all levels of courses, with the exception of degrees. They are limited to applying to TVET colleges’ courses.

How to apply for university or TVET courses in Kenya?

Kenya University And Tvet College Applications 2024/2025

Go to the KUCCPS application website at www.kuccps.ac.ke
Click the Student’s Portal tab.
On the portal, click the Login tab.
Enter your KCSE Index Number
Enter your KCSE year and your password. (Your password is your KCPE index number or your birth certificate number.)
Once logged in, view the available courses, universities, and TVET colleges on the Programmes and Institutions tabs.
When you find the courses you want and qualify for note down their programme codes.
To apply, click Application/Revision and key in the programme codes in the provided form in the order of priority.
Once the system has accepted all your programme codes
Submit your fully completed application form.
Pay your application fee by following the payment procedure that will appear on your screen
