VUT Registration Dates and Guidelines For 2024

VUT Online Registration will formally open on Wednesday, January 10, and run through Friday, February 2, 2024, allowing you to begin your academic journey at one of the top tech-focused universities in South Africa. All registrants must complete the registration process on ITS I-enabler; walk-in registration is not accepted. For the convenience of registrants, the system is available off-campus. Registering as a Student at Vaal University of Technology (VUT)

VUT offers online registration for fresh/first-time and returning students, making the process convenient and efficient. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Check the VUT Registration Dates for 2024

First-year applicants who have already received full admission to the university can register for semester 1 of 2024 from January 10 to January 12, 2024, but senior students can get access to the registration form from January 15 to February 2. The Closing date for registrations for semester 1 of 2024 is set for February 2, 2024, at midnight

Ensure Eligibility:

Academic Registration

Before starting the registration process, confirm that all academic and financial requirements have been met. Upon first enrollment at Vaal University, South African students are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of R2,500.00. On the other hand, foreign students are required to pay the entire tuition (100%) at the time of registration in 2024.

Residential Registrations

The fees below apply to students with accommodation on campus

National Residence student registration fee: R2 500.00
International Residence registration fee: Total annual fees (100%)

Prepare the required registration documents:

Gather the following documents before starting registration:

Student number and five-digit PIN (provided in your acceptance letter)
Proof of payment for all outstanding fees (bank deposit slip, online payment confirmation)
Official academic transcripts (if applicable)
Updated contact information (phone number, email address)

Access the Online Registration Platform:

Visit the I-Enabler platform: https://www.vut.ac.za/registration/
Enter your student number and five-digit PIN to log in.

Select Academic Registration:

On the left-hand side menu, click on “Academic Registration.”
Review Registration Restrictions:
Check for any registration restrictions, such as financial or academic ones. If any exist, resolve them before proceeding.

Accept Rules and Regulations:

Read and accept the VUT Rules and Regulations by clicking on the download link and clicking “Accept.”

Choose your modules:

Select the modules you wish to register for in the current semester. Ensure you meet the prerequisites for each module.

Review and submit:

Review your selected modules and any associated fees. Once satisfied, click “Submit” to finalize your registration.

Confirmation and Payment:

You’ll receive a confirmation email with your registered modules and a payment due date. Make your payment by the deadline to ensure your registration is complete. Payment can be made at any ABSA branch or any ABSA ATM at least 24 hours before starting the registration process
