  • Choose your year of study and qualification
  • Select at least 3 study Programme
  • Enter previous academic results.
  • Fill out the disability area (if applicable) and save your changes.
  • Upload all necessary documents.
  • Apply by submitting the form before the deadline.
  • After submission, you will receive a confirmation email with a reference number
  • Pay the non-refundable application fee of R100 (All)
  • Use your ID or passport number as a reference when making the payment.

Required Documents for SU’s 2026 Online Application

To complete your online application, you must upload the following documents:

South African applicants:

  • ID document
  • National Senior Certificate (NSC) or your Grade 11 results if still in school.
  • Academic records if transferring from another institution.
  • Proof of payment

International Applicants:

All applicants must present certified and clear copies of the following documents during the application process; incomplete submissions will not be considered.

  • Passport
  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent
  • USAF accreditation (if applicable)

Additional and Non-academic online application requirements

  • Final school-leaving results
  • Proof of registration
  • Full academic transcript for each academic year completed, including grades.
  • Relevant certificates and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades
  • Diploma(s) and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades
  • B degree certificate(s) and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades.
  • Honours degree certificate(s) and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades.
  • Master’s degree certificate(s) and full academic transcript for each year of enrolment, including grades (where applicable).

SU Admission Requirements

Before you consider applying for University, you need at least

  • 30% for a South African Language of Learning and Teaching (English or Afrikaans), and
  • An achievement rating of 4 (50% – 59%) in four 20-credit subjects.
