Payment of the DUT 2026 Application Fee

The Durban University of Technology, known as DUT, has published its application fee policy for the 2026 academic year. This application or handling fee applies to any individual applying for undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications at the university. Payment is required before the closing date for your application to be considered. Please read this post to discover how to pay your DUT application fee, including the Durban University of Technology’s official bank account for payments.

Who Pays the Durban University of Technology Application Fee?

Any individual applying to study at the Durban University of Technology for the 2026 academic year must pay the application fee as follows:

  • South African citizens: R250 
  • International applicants: R300

Payment Deadline: Must be paid before the application deadline

Exemptions:

  • No applicant is exempt from the application fee

Durban University of Technology Payment Deadline

The Durban University of Technology will accept applications and application fees for the 2026 academic year between April 1, 2025, and November 30, 2025. The application deadline is normally on the same day as the application fee payment deadline. After the application is closed, you will be unable to pay for it.

Mode of Payment

You can pay the application fee using one of the following methods:

Online: Visit www.dut.ac.za and pay the application fee securely with your credit card.

Bank Deposit: You may deposit the fee at any Standard Bank branch. Use the following banking details:

  • Customer ID: 026Z

Important Notes:

  • Please attach a copy of the deposit slip or proof of payment.
  • All cheques postal orders, and bank drafts must be made to the University of Mpumalanga. The applicant’s name and surname must be written on the back.
  • For EFTs, use the applicant’s student number as the reference (please attach proof of payment).
  • There is no refund for application fees.
  • Allow two business days for the payment to reflect
  • Your application will not be processed until they receive the fee.
