According to the university’s management, the application portal for the 2027 academic intake at the University of Witwatersrand (WITS) will officially open on 1 March 2027 for all prospective applicants.

Applications at Wits University will close as shown below:

June 30th: Health Sciences, Architecture, Audiology, Speech Pathology, Film and TV
September 30th: All other programs, including residence applications

What to Upload During the Wits University 2026 Application Process:

Current Matriculants: Final Grade 11 results (no hard copy needed).
Already Matriculated: Certified copies of all matriculation and school leaving certificates.
Other Tertiary Institutions: Certified copies of academic records, good conduct statements, and registration details (stamped by the institution).

Note: Interim results are only accepted for GEMP applicants for an initial assessment.
