According to the universityβs management, the application portal for the 2027 academic intake at the University of Witwatersrand (WITS) will officially open on 1 March 2027 for all prospective applicants.
Wits University 2027 Application Deadlines
Applications at Wits University will close as shown below:
- June 30th: Health Sciences, Architecture, Audiology, Speech Pathology, Film and TV
- September 30th: All other programs, including residence applications

- Apply for up to 3 programs (order doesn’t matter).

- Log in and click “Campus Finances.”
- Select “Make a Payment” and choose “Application Fee.”

What to Upload During the Wits University 2026 Application Process:
- Current Matriculants: Final Grade 11 results (no hard copy needed).
- Already Matriculated: Certified copies of all matriculation and school leaving certificates.
- Other Tertiary Institutions: Certified copies of academic records, good conduct statements, and registration details (stamped by the institution).
Note: Interim results are only accepted for GEMP applicants for an initial assessment.
