Are you wanting to become a student at WITS University for the academic year 2026? The 2026 application is about to be launched, so celebrate! Applications for undergraduate programs for the 2026 academic year will be accepted starting on March 1, 2025. Regardless of your present qualifications, you can apply to WITS if you’re interested and meet the minimum requirements. WITS offers a variety of exciting opportunities across many fields. Wits University 2026 Application Deadlines

Application at Wits will close as shown below:

June 30th: Health Sciences, Architecture, Audiology, Speech Pathology, Film and TV
September 30th: All other programs, including residence applications

How to Apply to Wits University 2026 Applications:

Apply for up to 3 programs (order doesn’t matter).
Check the admission requirements carefully.
Use your full legal name (no nicknames).
Consider applying to different faculties, especially for competitive programs.
Start early, and don’t miss deadlines.
Apply yourself; third-party agents are not allowed.

Pay the application fee and submit your documents.

South Africans: Pay R100 through the self-service portal or at the Wits Fees Office.
Foreigners: Pay R700 through the self-service portal or at the Wits Fees Office.
Deadline: Pay before the application closes.
Reference: Use your Person Number or T Number.

How to Pay Wits University 2026 Application Fee

Self-service portal:

Log in and click “Campus Finances.”
Select “Make a Payment” and choose “Application Fee.”

Other payment options:

Deposit the exact amount to the university’s account (details provided).
Pay in cash or by card at the Wits Fees Office.

Supporting documents: Upload them online or after submitting your application.

What to Upload During the Wits University 2026 Application Process:

Current Matriculants: Final Grade 11 results (no hard copy needed).
Already Matriculated: Certified copies of all matriculation and school leaving certificates.
Other Tertiary Institutions: Certified copies of academic records, good conduct statements, and registration details (stamped by the institution).

Note: Interim results are only accepted for GEMP applicants for an initial assessment.

Wits University 2026 Applications after Submission

Once the Wits University 2026 application has been submitted,

You will receive an email from Wits University confirming receipt of your application.
In the acknowledgement letter, you will find a person number that will serve as your student number as well as the contact information for a reference person in case you have any questions.
You can access all university correspondence records on the student self-service portal at https://self-service.wits.ac.za.
On the student self-service portal, prospective students should frequently click Manage Documents and check the status of their application.
