University of Cape Town Courses And Requirements 2024

The University of Cape Town reserves the right to select candidates for admission to specific fields of study based on academic performance due to capacity constraints. Prospective students who meet the minimum requirements will not be automatically admitted to their field of study. Because of capacity constraints and high student demand for admission to specific fields of study, the University of Cape Town accepts students based on the highest achiever.

To ensure acceptance, an applicant should read the minimum admission requirement as well as the faculty-specific requirement. Again, if possible, applicants should prioritize fields with less stringent selection criteria to increase their chances of admission to UCT.
