University of Venda Application Closing Dates For 2025
The University of Venda (UNIVEN) is calling all future scholars! Applications for the 2025–2026 academic year are officially open, starting April 1, 2024. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by! Head over to the university website or download the application form and begin your exciting path at the University of Venda (UNIVEN). But hurry! The application deadline for the current academic year 2025-2026 is quickly approaching; applications must be submitted by September 27, 2024. We strongly encourage early submissions to secure your spot at the University of Venda.
Uploading Documents to My Access Portal for Student Applications
Prepare your documents.
- Scan all documents to PDF format.
Gather the following documents (if applicable):
- A copy of your ID or passport
- Matric certificate/Statement of Results/Grade 11/12 report
- Transcript of academic record and certificate of conduct
- Degree(s)/Diploma certificates
- SAQA Evaluation Certificate (international applicants only)
Access the My Access Portal:
- Go to the My Access Portal website.
Log in as a student.
- Enter your student number and PIN to log in.
Upload your documents:
- Go to the “Student Enquiry” section, then select “Certificate Seen.”
- Choose the type of document you want to upload.
- Click “Load/View Document” and select the appropriate PDF file from your computer.
- Repeat the steps for each document you need to upload.

Choose Payment Method:
- Click “Pay by Credit Card” for credit or debit card payments.
Enter Card Details:
- Card Number
- Cardholder Name
- Expiry Date (Month or Year)
- CVV (3 digits on back)
Confirm Payment:
- Click “PAY Now.”
Verify Purchase:
- An OTP will be sent to your phone.
- Enter the OTP in the provided space and click “NEXT”.
Success Confirmation:
- A “Successful E-Payment” message will appear. Click “Exit”.
- You’ll receive an email confirmation from UNIVEN support.
- Return to the application webpage to continue.

How to Apply to the University of Venda (UNIVEN)
- Apply online at www.univen.ac.za. You’ll need a South African ID or passport, a cell phone number, and an email address.
- Save your progress and come back later if needed.
- Create a 5-digit PIN and submit your application.
- You’ll get a student number (keep it safe!).
- Upload the required documents and finish the process.

Documents Needed to Apply to UNIVEN for 2025
When applying for undergraduate studies, prospective students must upload PDF copies of the following documents:
- Your identification card or passport
- Your Grade 11 final (December) results, stamped by the school
- If you are a current student at another institution of higher learning, only your academic record will be considered.
- Academic record and certificate of good conduct (if you have already studied at a tertiary institution).
- Copy of study/residence permit, medical insurance, or SAQA Evaluation Certificate (if you are an international applicant).
- Proof of payment (R100 application fee) is payable on demand

University of Venda Admission Criteria
Degree Qualification
- National Senior Certificate (NSC): as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi) with an achievement rating of 4 (adequate achievement, 50–59%) or better in four subjects chosen from the recognized 20-credit NSC subjects. In addition, applicants must have a minimum point score of 26. A grade 12 certificate with a bachelor or matric exemption is required if grade 12 has been achieved.
Diploma Qualification
- The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi with an achievement rating of 3 (moderate achievement, 40-49%) or better in four recognized NSC 20-credit subjects.
