Nsfas Opening Date For 2023/2024:

From September 28th, 2023 to January 31st, 2024, applicants and prospective students can apply for a bursary and loan at the NSFAS. Applicants who apply during this period will be considered for funding in the 2024/2025 academic year.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) newly built portal makes it simple for all applicants to submit the required information to be considered for admission into the Scheme.

Does NSFAS Accept Applications from Anyone?

The Scheme in an attempt to satisfy its customers must also work within its selection limit (Rules and Regulations) when granting bursaries or loans. The following are eligible for funding in 2023:

Every South African national
All beneficiaries of SASSA grants are eligible for financing.
Applicants whose annual household combined income does not exceed R350 000
A person with a disability: The combined household income cannot exceed R600,000.
Students who began their studies prior to 2018 and whose household income is less than R122,000 annually are eligible.

When to Apply for Funding at Nsfas: The online application portal for National Student Financial Aid Scheme is enabled from 28 September 2023. All Documentation must be ready before this date to have adequate time to apply and fill all the required fields during the Online Application

Does NSFAS Open New Application for Late Applicants

The Scheme does not support or consider applications after the Closing dates. Late applications are not considered under this scheme

Create an Account called myNSFAS
After this account, the portal will be accessible for all information to be provided
Fill the required fields with accurate data
Upload all supporting Documents and click continue
Submit your application form after reviewing it to ensure the accuracy
