List Of Courses Funded By NSFAS For 2026
Prospective students can now apply for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) through the official NSFAS website. The application period for the 2026 academic year is currently open, and students are urged to apply promptly, as late applications will not be accepted. To qualify for funding, students must meet financial eligibility requirements and have secured a place to study in an approved program at a public institution.
NSFAS Funding Policy for Multiple Qualifications
Students can only receive NSFAS funding for one qualification at one institution at a time. If a student has completed an N6 qualification at a TVET college, they may be eligible to apply for university funding. After completing the N6 qualification, students must apply separately for university funding to continue their education.
NSFAS Funding Eligibility for University Courses
To be considered for NSFAS funding, students must apply to a university or college for an approved NSFAS-funded course. NSFAS funding is available for all undergraduate qualifications that are part of the approved programs. Make sure to review the list of NSFAS-funded courses to confirm eligibility before applying.
Academic requirements for the NSFAS bursary
To qualify for NSFAS funding, students must have completed Grades 9 to 12 to study at a TVET college and Grade 12 to study at a university or TVET college. NSFAS will only provide funding once the student meets the academic admission requirements of the chosen institution.
