Is TUT Open For 2026 Application
TUT (Tshwane University of Technology) is pleased to open its undergraduate and graduate applications for the academic year 2026 to the general public! Due to the limited number of courses, we encourage all potential students—South Africans and foreign applicants alike—to apply as soon as possible to secure their spot.
The application period opens on March 1, 2025, and closes on September 30, 2025. If you’re interested in joining TUT, please prepare your application in advance.
Application Process for TUT
Students wishing to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programs should submit separate applications for the 2025-2026 academic year, along with the required documentation for each. However, there is only one application fee for both undergraduate and postgraduate applications.
Important Dates for Applications
- Undergraduate Programs: Applications open on March 1, 2025, and close on September 30, 2025.
- Postgraduate Programs:
- International applicants: June 15, 2025
- January intake: February 28, 2026
- July intake: July 31, 2026
Application Requirements
To ensure your application is successful, please submit the following documents:
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Completed application form
- Certified copies of your identity document and National Senior Certificate (not older than one year)
- Proof of application fee payment
Postgraduate Applicants:
- Identity document
- Proof of completed diploma or degree requirements
- Academic record from any previous tertiary institution
Important Notes
Make sure to provide all required documentation, as incomplete applications will be rejected. If your application is rejected, you can reapply in the next application cycle.
When filling out the application form, indicate whether you wish to apply for housing. Students accepted into a full-time program may be eligible for on-campus accommodation.
Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of R240 is required. Make sure to pay this fee before the deadline, as late payments will not be accepted. Include proof of payment when submitting your application.
How to Apply Online
To apply online form at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) for 2025-2026, follow the procedure below:
STEP 1: Login Details
- Get access to stable internet and enter www.tut.ac.za.
- A vаlіd е-mаіl address and a phone number are required before an еlесtrоnіс аррlісаtіоn can be ѕubmіttеd at TUT.
STEP 2: Fill out Your Application
- Get the online application form to complete it
- Fill in the online application form with the information Required. Asterisks (*) are indicated on the REQUIRED/COMPULSORY Field. Forfeiting any of those will render your application void.
STEP 3: Upload The Required Documents
- Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents. These Documents must be in the format required by the university.
STEP 4: Submit your Application
- Submit your completed online application form and documents. Review to ensure the right thing is done before clicking on the SUBMIT Button
STEP 5: Pay Tut Application Fee
- Deposit the R240 fee at ABSA Bank (Account Number: 04 000 000 3) and include your ID number as the reference.
