  • What are the entrance requirements?
  • The minimum entrance requirement for the National Certificate (Vocational) at Level 2 on the NQF is a Grade 9 Certificate or Level 1 equivalent.

  • Admission requirements:
    Grade 9 Certificate or NQF Level 1 equivalent.

  • Admission requirements:
    Grade 12 Certificate, and you may be asked to attend an assessment and interview.

  • TRADE TEST CATEGORIES
  • The Manpower Training Act MO56 of 1981 makes provision for two categories of candidates to undergo a trade test. Candidates need to contact the relevant SETA to establish their eligibility for a Trade Test for the trades listed above.
  • SECTION 26: Candidates: for registered, indentured apprentices.
  • SECTION 26(D) Candidates: for candidates who are non-contracted, but who have worked in industry for a number of years, and have attained trade related experience.

  • In the instance of a high school Umalusi Matric qualification, these afore-mentioned subjects, plus three additional subjects (excluding Life Orientation) should amount to an Academic Point Score of 30.0
  • In all instances one language must be English
  • Applicants with a TVET NCV
  • English Language 50%,
  • Mathematics 40% or
  • Mathematical Literacy 60%.
  • In the instance of a TVET NCV qualification, these afore-mentioned subjects, plus four additional subjects (excluding Life Orientation) should amount to an Academic Point Score of 30.0
