DUT 2027 Application Opening and Closing Dates

Applications for the 2027 academic year at Durban University of Technology (DUT) officially open on 1 March 2026. Prospective undergraduate students are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.

National Senior Certificate (NSC): Possessing an NSC is essential, with a minimum of 30% in the language of learning and teaching as certified by Umalusi.

Higher Certificate:

National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4: Achieve at least 50% in English to be eligible.

Diploma:

National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4: Meet these minimums:
50% in three fundamental subjects, including English.
60% in three compulsory vocational subjects.

Bachelor’s Degree:

National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4: Aim for these thresholds:
60% in three fundamental subjects, including English.
