Courses Open For Late Application At WSU For 2024-2025

There is good news for applicants who were unable to apply for Walter Sisulu University’s academic year 2024-2025 intake after the application period closed. The good news is that courses for the 2024 January intake are still open, and applicants interested in these courses should visit the official website at www.wsu.ac.za as soon as possible and access the late application form.

The Walter Sisulu University online application for the January 2024 intake has just closed, and the university has begun the selection process. The deadline for submission was October 31, 2023, and if you have yet to submit your forms, know that the application for 2024 is closed.

We have compiled a list of courses that are still accepting applications for the January 2024 academic intake, which is helpful for late applicants. These courses have limited space, and admission will be based solely on academic merit or performance. Late applicants must meet the requirements outlined in this post in order to be admitted in 2024.

 

 

Please keep in mind that the late application is only valid for a limited time and that the deadline will not be extended. APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO GET A CHANCE.

Courses Still Open for 2024-2025 Late Applications at Walter Sisulu University (WSU)

The following courses and programmes are all available for the 2024-2025 late applications:

Internal Auditing Diploma Qualification

WSU Requirements for late admission 2024-2025

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Achievement rating of level 3 for English as a Home Language or First Additional Language.
  • Achievement rating of level 3 in 3 other relevant subjects, one of which must be Mathematics.
  • There is limited space for this particular as the application closes in March 2024

Accountancy Diploma Qualification

WSU Requirements for late admission 2024-2025

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Achievement rating of level 3 for English as a Home Language or First Additional Language.
  • Achievement rating of level 3 in 3 other relevant subjects, one of which must be Mathematics.

Financial Information Systems (FIS) Diploma Qualification

WSU Requirements for late admission 2024-2025

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Achievement rating of level 3 for English as a Home Language or First Additional Language.
  • Achievement rating of level 3 in 3 other relevant subjects, one of which must be Mathematic

Building Technology (Main) Diploma Qualification

WSU Requirements for late admission 2024-2025

National Senior Certificate:

  • Level 4 for English (Home or First Additional Language)
  • Level 3 for Mathematics (Not Mathematics Literacy)
  • Level 3 for Physical Science

Grade 12/Matric

  • An E-symbol for English (second language) on Higher Grade or a D-symbol on the Standard Grade. In addition, a E-symbol on the Higher Grade or a D-symbol on Standard Grade for Mathematics and Physical Science

Tvet Colleges: National Certificate

  • An N3 certificate with C-symbols for at least four subjects including Mathematics and Engineering Science or a D-symbol at N4 level as well as the language requirements for the Senior Certificate.

Tvet Colleges: National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4

  • Requirements as defined in Government Gazette 32743 dated 26 November 2009 with specific requirements as set out below:
  • Must meet NC(V) level statutory requirements
  • Must obtain 50% in three fundamental subjects which in the case of this programme are required to be: 50% English, Physical Science and Life Orientation

 

Building Technology (Extended) Diploma Qualification

Admission Requirements for 2024-2025 Late Applications

National Senior Certificate

  • English at Level 3 if Maths Level 3, Physics Level 3
  • Maths at Level 2 if English Level 4, Physics Level 3
  • Physics Level 2 if English Level 4, Math Level 3

Grade 12/Matric

  • An F-symbol for English (second language) in a Higher Grade or an E-symbol in the Standard Grade. In addition, an F-symbol in the Higher Grade or an E-symbol in Standard Grade for Mathematics and Physical Science

Tvet Colleges students with National Certificate

  • An N3 certificate with C-symbols for at least four subjects including Mathematics and Engineering Science or a D-symbol at the N4 level as well as the language requirements for the Senior Certificate.

FET Colleges students with National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

To qualify for this course, you must satisfy the requirements below:

National Senior Certificate

  • 4 for English (Home Language or First Additional Language)
  • 4 for Mathematics (Not Maths Lit)
  • 4 for Physical Sciences

National Certificate

  • An N3 certificate with C-symbols for at least four subjects including Mathematics and Engineering Science.
  • or a D-symbol at the N4 level as well as the language requirements as specified for the Senior Certificate

 

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Extended)

Before you apply, ensure you have a certificate in of the following qualifications with the exact score or higher

National Senior Certificate

  • 3 for English (Home Language or First Additional Language)
  • 4 for Mathematics (Not Maths Lit)
  • 4 for Physical Sciences

National Certificate

  • An N3 certificate with C-symbols for at least four subjects including Mathematics and Engineering Science.
  • or a D-symbol at the N4 level as well as the language requirements as specified for the Senior Certificate

Diploma in Electrical Engineering

One of the following is required:

National Senior Certificate

  • 4 for English (Home Language or First Additional Language)
  • 4 for Mathematics (Not Maths Lit)
  • 4 for Physical Sciences
