- General Application Deadline: June 30, 2025 (for most programs)
- Selection Program Deadlines:
- Music: August 31, 2025 (with audition required)
- Graphic Design, Engineering, Occupational Hygiene, Urban & Regional Planning, and other selection programs: August 31, 2025
Required Documents for NWU Applications
Prospective applicants who submit an online application will be asked to upload supporting documents as part of the application process. This stage of the process is very key to gaining admission to study at North-West University. Failure to upload these required documents would invalidate your application form, and you cannot continue to apply. Applicants are hereby advised to gather the following documents before commencing the application process:
Undergraduate Applicants
- Results from grades 12 and 11 (final results only) Alternatively, if you have previously passed matric, a copy of your matric certificate.
- A photocopy of your ID
- A copy of your transcripts (if applicable).
- Applicants who are currently enhancing their grade 12 results will be evaluated only after the NWU receives the improved results.
- Applicants who pursue the Cambridge, GED, or any other non-NSC curriculum or who may be eligible for an exemption due to older age or post-school qualifications must present a USAF exemption certificate.
- Completed undertaking
- Additional documents for international prospective students:
- A copy of relevant results
- A copy of your passport
Postgraduate Applicants
- Completed mandatory undertaking
- A copy of your ID
- Copy of your academic record (if applicable).
