- Faculty of Engineering – first semester applications – 30 September 2023
- Faculty of Engineering – second-semester applications – 31 May 2023
- Faculty of Natural Sciences – 30 September 2023
- Analytical Chemistry – second-semester applications – 31 May 2023
- Faculty of Management Sciences – 30 September 2023
Late Application is considered but with a fee determined by the office of the CAO.

Important Application Documents (FOR SOUTH AFRICAN REGISTRANTS)
- National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results
- Senior Certificate
- Identity Document
- Students who are transferring from another university must submit an original academic record as well as a certificate of good standing/character.
NON-SOUTH AFRICAN REGISTRANTS
- A current study permit
- A legitimate medical aid or health insurance policy is required.
- A valid passport is required.
- GCE, GCSE, IGCSE or Cambridge School Certificate
- Students holding a GCE GCSE IGCSE or the Cambridge School Certificate must have passed five approved ordinary-level subjects including the English language provided three subjects have been passed at the same examination sitting.

You may pay the administration fee ONLINE by credit card:
- At the same time that you apply
- After you click ‘Process my Application’ a message will appear telling you how you may pay the application administration fee
MUT Minimum Entrance Requirements
- National Senior Certificate with a diploma pass or N3 with 50% pass in Mathematics and English
- A minimum of 5 subjects with level 4 pass for diploma study and level 3 for Access Courses
- English Home Language or First Additional Language, level 4 pass
- Specific subject combination and pass level relevant to the qualification
- Minimum points as per faculty requirements and as listed on the CAO handbook
