For the academic year 2024/2024, the Central University of Technology (CUT) aims to allow any persons interested in applying to the institute with the relevant qualifications to do so. Enrollment is currently available to interested students who want to further their education. Central University of Technology Online Application Dates For 2024-2025
Admission to the Central University of Technology begins on June 1, 2023, and ends on September 30, 2023. Because there will be no second application window, apply as soon as possible. From June 1, 2023, to September 30, 2023, you can access the central university of Technology’s online application form. We urge all applicants for the 2024 intake to apply by the application deadline or risk disappointment because applications received after the deadline will be rejected
Before enrolling in a course, make sure you meet the prerequisites, as admission is based on an applicant’s academic performance. When choosing a course to study, especially for an undergraduate degree, be flexible. Keep your options open and select from less restrictive faculties to improve your chances of admission in 2024.
How the Central University online application is done electronically and procedurally
To apply to CUT, use a smart device and a strong internet connection and follow the steps below.
Step 1: Login details
Log onto the official website @www.cut.ac.za
- On the menu bar, click on the student tab and select Prospective student
- Click on the application process after scrolling down the page
- On the left side of the page select the new application tab
- Click on New Applications
Step 2: Read and Accept
- New applicants, read carefully. Compulsory fields must be completed to proceed.
- There is a document on this page, read it and Accept it to proceed.
Step 3: Biographical data Capturing
- Biographical data is all about you. Enter the data exactly as it is in your SA ID or Passport – no exceptions.
- Make sure the university has the correct information.
- Continue with the application process. Complete the information on the screen and click next.
Step 4: Upload your Certificates
- You can upload your certificate manually or could be automatically uploaded if you have completed your Grade 12. To manually add, click Add Subject and continue to add each subject.
- Provide your educational information at this stage
- Indicate your Qualification: Where, when, and what subjects have you completed
Step 5: Select your field of study
- Choose your desired course at this point after assessing the requirements (2 options, First and second choice)
Step 6: Review and upload the required documents
- Review the information carefully. Go back and correct any errors. It is important to do this now.
- Upload the required documents after this step. Without documents, your application is incomplete.
- Review the upload. Yes indicates that you have uploaded successfully.
Step 7: Log in with your student number to complete the process
- A student number is generated. Keep your student number safe.
- You will need it to log in and follow up on the application.
Step 8: Verify and submit your application
- Click Submit Application. Enter the programme you are applying to study and click Search
- Click on the programme code (in blue) to add the programme to your profile.
- Click View Completed Application(s) and verify the programme is indeed added.
- A notification will be emailed that your application profile has been updated.

Please remember to include a certified copy of the following documents with your application before submitting it. Any application form that does not include any of these documents will be rejected for the January 2024 deadline.
