ulwazi: The Wits Learning Management System is ulwazi (LMS). It supports teaching and learning with the Canvas online platform, which is a modern, robust LMS utilized by thousands of colleges across the world. Because it is hosted in the cloud, it can be viewed by multiple users at the same time.

Password Reset: You can reset your password without phoning the Wits ICT Service Desk if you forget it.

Student Email: Please note that all official communication from the University will be sent to your Wits Email address.

Student Self Service:

Connect your computer or mobile device to the internet and click the link below;

WITS Students Portal: https://self-service.wits.ac.za/ to perform activities like status checking, tracking applications and so on.

Data Access: Wits offers data to students so that they may access services that they need for their online learning. CellC, MTN, Telkom, and Vodacom are among the service providers who will be able to supply this to them. The data plan allows for maximum data usage of 20 GB per month at any time and 20 GB at night, with only one service provider.

Any Challenge? The Wits ICT Service Desk is the central point of contact between the student user and Wits ICT. Call the Wits ICT Service Desk if you have problems accessing your email, using the internet or standard software programs. The Wits ICT Service Desk also offers configuration support to students.
