Congratulations on securing your place at WITS University, class of 2024! With excitement bubbling, the next crucial step is registration. As prospective students eagerly anticipate the academic challenges and opportunities that await them in 2024, understanding the intricacies of the registration process is paramount. This article will guide you through the process, ensuring a smooth transition into your WITS journey.
If you don’t finish your registration by Tuesday, January 30, 2024 (within 8 days), your offer will be revoked. If an applicant doesn’t register by the deadline, the university won’t be able to guarantee a spot, even if they accept their offer. Applicants are encouraged to register online using the Self-Service Portal from Friday, January 19, 2024, to Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
New First-Year Students:
You will need the following during the online registration:
A non-refundable registration fee is required at the time of registration for all self-funded applicants (SA citizens, South African Permanent Residence Permit Holders, and Refugee Permit Holders). All students are required to pay the R9 340 registration fee, except international students, who are required to pay 75% of the annual tuition fee. Before beginning the registration process, kindly pay the registration fee.
Please follow the steps below to register for the 2024 academic year
Step No. 1: Accept Your Offer
If you haven’t already, accept your offer via the Self-Service Portal. This activates your WITS email and other essential services.
Step No. 2: Register Online
Complete the online registration process through the Self-Service Portal. Select your courses, pay any fees, and upload the required documents.
Step No. 3: Activate Your WITS Email
Check your inbox for an activation email and follow the instructions to access your WITS email account. This is your official communication channel with the university.
Step No.4: Collect Your Student Card
Visit the designated location on campus to collect your student card, which serves as your ID and library card.
Step No.5: Complete Orientation
Attend the mandatory orientation sessions for your faculty. These sessions provide valuable information about academic life, resources, and support available at WITS.
