When Do University Applications Open in South Africa For 2026?

It officially opens on April 1, the year preceding the projected study year, which is April 1, 2025, for the academic year 2026. The regular application deadline is October 31, 2025, at noon.

Meeting Application and Admission Requirements

South African institutions’ online application forms are available from April 1 to October 31, 2025. Because certain universities may not accept late applications, applying as soon as possible will help you get into your desired university. It is crucial to understand that applying to these universities does not guarantee admission as spaces are limited.
