Before applying, ensure that you meet one of the most basic academic requirements for a bachelor’s degree, as well as the minimum requirements and selection criteria for the program(s) to which you wish to apply. What are the minimum academic requirements for a bachelor’s degree at CUT?

Before you consider applying for University, you must have

• National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with at least a 3 in English and a 4 in four NSC 20-credit subjects chosen from the NSC designated subject list.
• The National Benchmark Test (NBT) is mandatory for all first-year applicants to higher education institutions. The test must be written before you can register to study at CUT.
• Admission Points (AP) (minimum 27)
