When Can I Apply at DUT For 2026 | Durban University
The Durban University of Technology (DUT) 2026 online application window will officially open to the public on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. You are hereby encouraged to submit your application and all other supporting materials by the deadline so you can study in 2026. The application deadline for all undergraduate study programs is November 30, 2025, except for a few programs that close earlier than November 30. Before selecting a course, all potential candidates must check that they satisfy the entry requirements for that specific course.

What are the minimum academic requirements for a bachelor’s degree at DUT?
Before you consider applying for University, you must have
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi), with at least a 3 in English and a 4 in four NSC 20-credit subjects chosen from the NSC designated subject list.

- Click on “Apply” and follow the prompts.
- Carefully enter your personal information and academic details.
- Select DUT as your preferred institution.
- Choose your desired programs:
- Prioritize your choices. List programs in order of preference, as CAO will consider them accordingly.
- Check for specific requirements: Some programs may have additional requirements or earlier deadlines.
- Upload the required certified copies of your ID and academic results.
- Pay the applicable fee (usually R250 for SA citizens, R300 for international applicants).
- Choose your preferred payment method (online or other options are provided).
- Thoroughly review all entered information for accuracy.
- Submit your completed application form and payment before the deadline.
- Use your CAO account to track the status of your application.
- CAO will process applications and release placement results.
- If you’re accepted, you’ll receive an offer letter from DUT
