The University of the Western Cape (UWC) will accept online applications for the 2026 academic year beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at midnight SAST. To have your applications considered and processed, you must meet both academic and non-academic requirements. This includes meeting the precise entry requirements for their preferred degree or course of study.
Applicants are recommended to begin compiling their application materials as early as possible to ensure a smooth application process. Meeting the program’s academic standards is critical to consideration. Mark the date and prepare to submit your application when the portal opens.
All Applicants Should Know This
- To apply online, applicants must have a valid email address. All correspondence from the institution regarding your application will be sent to you via email.
- If you have a disability, please make sure that section of the online form is properly filled out so that they can contact you about your support needs.
- Please also note that there is no separate application form for accommodation. If you answered yes to the question about university accommodation on the application, it means you have applied automatically.
University of the Western Cape Application and Enrollment Requirements 2026
Anyone interested in applying to the University of the Western Cape (UWC) for the academic year 2026 can do so online. Academic and non-academic documents must be provided by all prospective students
- Certified copy of your NSC Certificate or Senior Certificate
- A certified copy of your Identification document
- Certified Certificate of good conduct from your current or previous institution
- Certified Official Academic Transcript
- Module content / Yearbook descriptor from your institution for all modules completed
- Certified Degree certificate (if applicable)
UWC Online Application Closing Dates For 2026
The required documentation must be submitted by September 30, 2025, which is the deadline for applications.
August 31, 2025, is the deadline for applying to the Bachelor of Dentistry and Oral Health program and the School of Government. July 31, 2025, is the deadline for applications to the BA Honours Sports Recreation and Exercise Science, BA Honours in Biokinetics, and BSC Honours Biokinetics programs.
