Thinking of applying to UP for 2025-2026 but missing the official deadline? Don’t fret just yet! While UP prioritizes applications submitted during the regular cycle, they may still consider late applications.

UP only accepts late applications if spots remain in your desired program(s) after the official deadline. This means there’s no guarantee your application will be reviewed, and early applicants have a significant advantage.

The online Application Process for University of Pretoria 

Prospective applicants must follow these simplified application processes to apply online at UP: the University of Pretoria Online Application 2025-2026

  • Step № 1: Go to www.upnet.up.ac.za/psc/upapply.
  • Step № 2: Choose “Start New Application” from the drop-down menu.
  • Step № 3: On the privacy notice pop-up, click OK.
  • Step № 4: Fill in the blanks with your information (Personal information)
  • Step № 5: Check that the characters in the security code field are entered correctly.
  • Step № 6: Go to the Go tab.
  • Step № 7: A disclaimer appears; carefully read it before proceeding (Do not discard this page)
  • Step № 8: Fill in your information in the provided Dropbox.
  • Step № 9: Select the OK button.
  • Step № 10: On the next page, confirm your application and click continue to proceed.
  • Step № 11: An ID and a temporary Password will be emailed to you. During the application process, a working email address is required.
  • Step № 12: Start your application with this ID number and password by clicking on the link in your email.
  • Step № 13: If you want, you can create your own password.
  • Step № 14: To proceed, click the “save and next” button.
  • Step № 1: The application summary page is now editable. This is the application’s starting point.
  • Step № 15: Start and edit your online application
  • Step № 16: Upload the necessary documents in the proper format.
  • Step № 17: Pay your non-refundable application fee into the university’s official account.
  • Step № 18: If you believe you are finished, click the submit button.
