University of Nairobi Online Application Form 2024-2025

Prospective undergraduate students who are interested in enrolling in the offered courses are officially invited by the University of Nairobi (UoN) to apply for admission to the September intake of the 2024–2025 academic year. The University of Nairobi (UoN) will accept applications through October 31, 2024 (10/31/2024).

The University of Nairobi’s (UoN) application deadlines for 2024–2025

For the first semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, the University of Nairobi (UoN) will accept applications starting on Monday, January 1, 2024, and ending on Thursday, October 31, 2024. There is no way to extend the deadline.

Required Documents for 2024 University of Nairobi (UoN) Applications

Before beginning the University of Nairobi (UoN) application process, make sure you have the following original documents as a PDF copy.

  • Copy of the letter of Offer (2)
  • Original National ID / Passport / Birth Certificate
  • Original KCSE result slips/KCSE Certificate
  • Original Leaving Certificate
  • Copy of National ID / Passport / Birth Certificate
  • Copy of KCSE result slips/KCSE Certificate,
  • Copy of Leaving Certificate
  • Medical Report (MMU/F/AD/001)
  • Duly filled students’ detail forms
  • Colored Passport Photos (3)
  • Proof of payment for the total fee.
  • Science-based students are required to bring TWO white laboratory coats

Application Fees for 2024–2025 Admission to the University of Nairobi (UoN)

The University of Nairobi (UoN) requires a non-refundable and non-transferable application fee of Kshs. 3,000.00 for undergraduate programs, Kshs. 3,000.00 for diploma programs, and Kshs. 3000.00 for certificate programs from all students applying for admission.  A copy of the fee payment slip should be included in your application.

How to Complete the Application Fee Payment Before the Deadline for UoN

Applying to the University of Nairobi and paying for it is easier than ever. Simply use your mobile device to pay the necessary application fee via M-PESA.  Simply complete the steps listed below to be able to pay.

  • Go to M-PESA on your phone.
  • Select Lipa na M-PESA option
  • Select the Pay Bill option.
  • Enter Business no.
  • Enter your Reference number as it was sent to your mobile phone
  • Enter the amount you intend to pay.
  • Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send

  • You can also pay using a VISA debit or credit card by choosing the VISA option

Admissions and Minimum Requirements for the University of Nairobi (UoN) for 2024-2025

The availability of spaces and the applicant’s academic standing determine admission to University of Nairobi (UoN) courses leading to a diploma, certificate, or bachelor’s degree. Candidates can choose their courses at the University of Nairobi (UoN) based on the following requirements and minimum qualifications.

Certificate Entry Requirements

  • KCSE Mean Grade D+ or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution for all certificate courses

Diploma Entry Requirements

  • An aggregate KCSE grade of C – (Minus) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution

Degree Entry Requirements

  • An aggregate KCSE grade of C+ (PLUS) or a relevant Diploma from a recognized institution.
  • possess the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education, which consists of two principal subjects (2 P) and one subsidiary.

The University of Nairobi Mode of Application 2024-2025

At the University of Nairobi, there are two types of applicants: self-sponsored and government-sponsored applicants/students.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is the application portal for all government-sponsored students; however, self-sponsored students must apply by following the instructions provided below.

How to submit an online application for undergraduate courses at the University of Nairobi (UoN)

To apply for courses in the University of Nairobi’s (UoN) undergraduate programs for the 2024–2025 academic year, prospective students should adhere to the following guidelines.

  • Visit the application website http://application.uonbi.ac.ke
  • Create a personal profile by clicking on the “Click Here to Register Button”
  • Register and Create a User Account by Entering your email address and phone number.
  • Verify and activate your account through the link sent to your email account
  • When you have clicked on the validation link (sent to you in the email), you will be able to log in to the application system
  • Log in with your username and password
  • Key in your details (Personal details)
  • Upload scanned copies of academic certificates and a passport-size photograph.
  • Your profile is now active, proceed to apply for a course/program of your choice
  • Go to “Click here to apply
  • Then click on “Apply for intake” Button
  • Select and apply for the course you are interested in. You will be issued with a REFERENCE NUMBER
  • Pay the prescribed application fee through the right channel
  • Upon payment, you will receive a confirmation of the payment at the email address and phone number registered.
  • Track the status of your application online through the system.
  • An acknowledgment message will be sent to your registered email address and phone number.
