The management of the University of Venda has published the application dates for the submission of late application admission forms for all undergraduate or postgraduate applicants. The application window for this second window is a very short one as the spaces are limited to the number of applicants. Applicants are entreated to apply as early as possible. This application period is for those who couldn’t apply during the first application window.
Does Univen offer Late Application:
Yes. Applicants who were unable to apply during the first application window are eligible for the late application at the University of Venda. Because the number of available spots is restricted, this period will be open for as little time as feasible. After the first application window’s deadline has passed, the date will be formally announced.
When to Submit the Application Form
Univen Deadlines for Application: Admissions applications are due on September 27, 2022. After this date for 2023 has passed, late applications may be considered. Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as feasible.
What you Need as a Late Applicant for 2023
To apply online, An applicant must possess the following
- South African Identify number
- Mobile phone number
- Active email address
- credit/debit card with CVV number to pay the application fee online.
How to Apply Online for Late Admission 2023
STEP 1: Login Details
- Go to the Univen application website: https://www.univen.ac.za
- At the top menu of the page, click on “How to Apply”
Step 2: Create a PIN
- The applicant will be required to create a pin consisting of 5 digits. This pin will be used as a login pin on the student portal when admitted to study with the University
Step 3: Upload the Required Documents
- Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents. These Documents must be in the format required by the university. Scan and upload the following
- copy of I.D. document or passport,
- Grade 11 report or
- statement of grade 12 results
- copy of Matric Certificate
STEP 4: Pay Your Application Fee
- Pay the Non-Refundable application fee of R100
- During the online application process, you may save and return at a later stage to resume the application process.
Step 5: Submit Your Completed Application
- Submit your completed online application form and documents. Review to ensure the right thing is done before clicking on the ‘submit button after completing your online forms
- You will then get a student number.
Required Documents for Late Application 2023
When applying for undergraduate programs, late applicants must upload copies of the following documents in PDF format:
- Your identification card or passport
- Your Grade 11 final (December) results, stamped by the school
- If you are a current student at another institution of higher learning, only your academic record will be considered.
- Academic record and certificate of good conduct (if you have already studied at a tertiary institution).
- Copy of study / residence permit / medical insurance / SAQA Evaluation Certificate (if you are an international applicant).
- Proof of payment of Application fee.
How to Pay Application for 2023 Late Admissions
Prospective late applicants must be ready to pay a non-refundable amount of R100 to the account below:

- Reference: ID number or student number
How to Download 2023 Late Application Form
Students who have previously applied through the online system must download the application form from the website or click on the link below to download and send it to Student Administration together with all other needed papers and proof of payment.

Univen Late Admission Requirements
Degree Qualification
- National Senior Certificate (NSC): as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi) with an achievement rating of 4 (adequate achievement, 50-59%) or better in four subjects chosen from the recognized 20-credit NSC subjects. In addition, applicants must have a minimum point score of 26. A grade 12 certificate with a bachelor or matric exemption is required if grade 12 has been achieved.
Diploma Qualification
- The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi with an achievement rating of 3 (moderate achievement, 40-49%) or better in four recognized NSC 20-credit subjects.
