The University of Venda (UNIVEN) has published the application form for the 2026 academic year, and it welcomes all previous applicants. This form is for applicants who were rejected for admission the previous year. Prospective students can use this form to apply for the University of Venda’s 2026 academic year, which begins on April 1, 2025. The deadline for applications and related documents is September 27, 2025. Applications that come late may not be approved.

UNIVEN Application Documents Required For 2026

When submitting an application for undergraduate studies, prospective candidates must include copies of the following documents in PDF format:.

Your identification card or passport
Your Grade 11 final (December) results, stamped by the school
If you are a current student at another institution of higher learning, only your academic record will be considered.
Academic record and certificate of good conduct (if you have already studied at a tertiary institution).
Copy of study/residence permit, medical insurance, or SAQA Evaluation Certificate (if you are an international applicant).
Proof of payment (R100 application fee) is payable on the day of the application before the closing date

Minimum Entry Requirements of UNIVEN

Degree Qualification

National Senior Certificate (NSC): as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi) with an achievement rating of 4 (adequate achievement, 50–59%) or better in four subjects chosen from the recognized 20-credit NSC subjects. In addition, applicants must have a minimum point score of 26. A grade 12 certificate with a bachelor or matric exemption is required if grade 12 has been achieved.

Diploma Qualification

The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi with an achievement rating of 3 (moderate achievement, 40–49%) or better in four recognized NSC 20-credit subjects.
