When they accept new applications:
The University of Johannesburg accepts new applications for all programs starting in April of the year before you plan to start studying. This means that if you want to start in 2025, you should apply in April 2024.
- The university closes applications between June and October every year. Applications close on October 31st of the same year.
- Late applications are not accepted.
Mode of Application of the University:
There are two ways to apply to the university. The applicant must decide between these two submission options: a manual application or an online application.
Application fee payable in 2025:
The online form is free. However, manual applications are R200.00 more expensive. Both South African and non-South African applicants must comply with this. - A certified copy of your Grade 12 examination results

- A certified copy of your passport number from your home country

- English Proficiency For undergraduate programs, proof of IELTS with an overall score of 6 and TOEFL with an average score of 80–104 is required.
- You can take the English Language Programme Test at the University of Johannesburg (UJELP).
