Required Documents for Late UFS Application

When applying for undergraduate studies, please include copies of the following documents in PDF or JPEG format:

• Your ID if you are a South African citizen
• Your passport if you are an international student
• Your parent’s ID or passport if you are younger than 18
• Your final Grade 11 results with the school’s stamp
• National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Grade 12 IEB certificate if you have already matriculated
• USAF accreditation from the examination board for South African universities

UFS 2026 General Application Date

The application portal for the 2026 academic intake, which was open to the general public from April 1 to September 30, 2025, has been relaunched to welcome those students who have not yet applied. There are still a few courses open, so submit your application within the shortest period of the second application window.

UFS Late Application Deadlines For 2026

If you submit your application after the late deadline, it will not be considered. The deadline for late enrollment is January 14, 2026; therefore, applicants should ensure that all application documents and supporting documentation arrive at the institution as soon as feasible.

UFS Late Application Fee

There is no application cost at the University of the Free State (UFS). Remember that authentic UFS applications, regardless of time, will never require the payment of a processing or handling fee prior to processing. It is free of charge.

How to Apply For UFS Late applications

Even if you are late, the University of the Free State still has a few 2026 courses available. To apply, simply follow the procedures below.

• Go to apply.ufs.ac.za to begin your online application.
• Fill out all fields marked with an asterisk (*) on the form
• Upload all required documents (see below).
• Once completed, submit your application.
• You will receive a student number via email.
