Here’s how you can find out if you’ve been accepted to study at the UFS and claim your spot if you have:

Checking Your Status:

1. Log in to the UFS student self-service portal. This is your key to tracking your application. You’ll need your student’s number and password.
2. Scan your online profile for an offer: If you’ve been accepted, the university will upload a shiny offer notice right there. No offer? Don’t fret; the admissions process might still be underway.

Accepting an Offer (Woohoo!)

1. Head to the UFS’s main registration landing page: http://www.ufs.ac.za/studyoffer is your gateway to securing your UFS adventure.
2. Log in again: Same drill, student number, and password at the ready.
3. Claim your spot! Follow the instructions on the page to officially accept your offer and start getting excited about becoming a UFS student.

How to Track University of Free State Online 

To track your university of Free State (UFS) application status for the academic year 2025-2026 on the UFS system:

• Open any internet browser and type www.ufs.ac.za in the URL
• On the active page of the UFS website: Click on the ‘Students’ tab to navigate to KovsieLife.
• Click the ‘Student Self Service tab on the active KovsieLife webpage. After clicking on ‘Student Self Service, you will be navigated to the Oracle PeopleSoft system.
  
  1. Type in your student number in the User ID text box;
  2. Type in your password in the Password text box; and
  3. Click ‘Sign In’ once you have typed in your student number and password
• Once you have successfully logged in on Oracle PeopleSoft, the system will navigate you to ‘Student Services Centre.
• On the active Student Services Center page, click ‘View Application’ to track your application(s) status.
