UCT online Registration Still Open For 2024-2025

Registration is now open at the University of Cape Town for the 2024–2025 academic year. According to the 2024 UCT registration schedule, all eligible and admitted students at UCT may register for courses beginning on Monday, January 8, 2024, and ending on Friday, January 19, 2024. The last step in the 2024 application process is the UCT registration and enrollment process. You will not be enrolled if you do not register within the period.

What to Do before you can Register for the semester

Participants and students must pay the non-refundable registration fee as follows before the registration closing date.

South African citizens and South African permanent residents:

Initial payment: R31,000 for tuition (or the full fee if lower).

Optional residence fees:

Catering residence: R39,000 initial payment
Self-catering residence: R26,000 initial payment

International students from the SADC region:

Tuition: Initial payment of R31,000 (or settle the full fee if it’s lower).

Additional Fees:

Non-refundable Administrative Service Fee: R5,000

Residence (Optional):

Catering: Initial payment of R39,000
Self-catering: Initial payment of R26,000

Please Note:

Final payment: due on July 31, 2024, and covers the remaining balance of your tuition and any applicable residence fees.
A late payment fee of 8% applies to any payments received after the due date.

When to Register at UCT for 2024-2025

All new and returning students to the University of Cape Town must register in 2024. The general registration window for the 2024 UCT is now open and ends at 4 p.m. SAST on Friday, February 9, 2024. All participants are required to pay the registration fee and complete the registration process within the specified time frame.

For an applicant to have a successful application, the following information is very key:

An applicant must have an active email address. ( All communications will take place on this email.)
South African identity number if a citizen of South Africa or
If you are an international applicant, your passport number

How to Register Online at the University of Cape Town For 2024-2025

To make the application process as efficient as possible, the university prefers that an applicant apply to them via an apply online portal. Applicants have the option to choose a paper-based application (hard copy) and email it to the university after completing it.
