UCT Online Application Opening Date For 2026

UCT is now open for 2026! The application window for the 2026 academic year at the University of Cape Town (UCT) will open on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. This is an opportunity for students and individuals who want to pursue undergraduate or graduate qualifications to apply for all offered courses. Important 2026 Application Dates of UCT

The University of Cape Town, or UCT, is taking applications for the 2026 academic year. Here is what you should know whether you are applying to an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Undergraduate Applications: April 1 – July 31, 2025
Postgraduate Applications: April 1 – August 31, 2025
National Benchmark Tests (NBTs) Registration: Opens April 1, 2025
Final NBTs (Health Sciences Applicants): July 31, 2025
Deadline for Portfolios (BAS and BA Fine Art): July 31, 2025
Final NBTs for All Applicants: September 30, 2025
Grade 12 Interim Results Due: October 15, 2025
International Applications Deadline: November 15, 2025
Final Offer Deadline for International Students: November 30, 2025

Application Fees Required

Ensure you pay the application fee best before the official closing date

Undergraduate & Postgraduate (South Africa & SADC): R100
Undergraduate & Postgraduate (International): R300
Graduate School of Business (South Africa/Africa): R1,940
GSB (International): USD 300

Payment options include credit card, EFT, or direct deposit. Details will be provided once you begin your application.

Required Application Documents

Current high school students: Submit your Grade 11 results and September Grade 12 results (if applicable).
Transfer applicants: Provide academic transcripts from all previous institutions.

Documents should be submitted as certified copies via email to admissions-UG@uct.ac.za.
