UCT Online Application Form 2026

The University of Cape Town’s Management wishes to remind all interested and qualified individuals that the application window for 2026 is now open and active. The application window is open from April 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025, to anyone interested in studying for a diploma, bachelor’s, honours, master’s, or doctorate. To secure an early admission, you are encouraged to apply before the closing date.

The University of Cape Town (UCT) online application for the academic year 2026 opens on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 and closes on July 31, 2025 for all undergraduate programs. Eligibility Requirements

Meet the minimum entry requirements for your chosen degree program. These can be found on the UCT website.
Have a valid international passport if you are an international applicant.
Demonstrate English language proficiency through recognized tests like IELTS or TOEFL.

UCT Online Application Procedure For 2026

The University of Cape Town’s step-by-step application process for the 2026 academic year is provided below.

Go to the UCT application website: http://www.students.uct.ac.za/
Click on the Apply Online to UCT Button to commence your online application
Read the POCI act and accept.
Register a new account or log in if you already have one.
Enter your ID number
Complete the required personal information.
Gather necessary documents (academic transcripts, identification, etc.).
Fill out the online application form with accurate details.
Pay the application fee
Submit the completed application form.
Receive confirmation or reference numbers.
Track the application status through the online portal.

For individuals who would rather take a more conventional approach or are unable to apply online, the hard copy application form for the academic year 2026 can be downloaded in PDF format. You can download it and manually fill it out for submission. Before August 31, 2025, a completed undergraduate application form must be sent to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za with the subject line “2026 UCT Application Form.”

UCT Application Supporting Documents Required

All prospective applicants are to provide the following documents during the application process for the 2026 academic year:

Current learners at school must make sure that all examination results from Grade 11 until September of Grade 12 are submitted. Failure to submit these results may result in delays.
Transferring students should submit all transcripts and academic records as early as possible.
Documents must be submitted as certified electronic copies to admissions-ug@uct.ac.za (undergraduate applicants).
