TUT 2027 Online Application & Admission Now Open

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) has opened applications for the 2027 academic year! If you’re looking to study at one of South Africa’s top institutions, this is your chance to apply for a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Applications are open from 1 April 2026 until 30 September 2027. Late applications may be reviewed only if there are still spaces available after the official closing date.

TUT 2027 Application Period

TUT is unable to accept every applicant because of limited space, so it’s important to make sure your application is complete and submitted within the official application period. Before applying, confirm that you meet all the admission requirements for your chosen programme, as selection is based strictly on academic performance and available space.

TUT 2027 Application Fee Requirements

Before starting your TUT 2027 application, it’s important to note the application fee. All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of R240 when submitting their application. This amount must be paid at the time of application and will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Late Application

Late applications to TUT may be considered after 30 September 2026, but only if there is space available. Please note that acceptance during the late application period is not guaranteed.

Mode of TUT 2027 Application

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) offers both online and manual application options, giving applicants the flexibility to choose between a digital or paper-based process. Although TUT strongly encourages candidates to apply online, prospective students may also download and complete a hard-copy application form from the official TUT website if they prefer.

TUT 2027 Admission Requirements

To ensure that your application is considered at TUT, you must meet the university’s admission requirements, including general and faculty requirements. Basically, you need to pass your Grade 12 final examination and be proficient in English/Afrikaans. Generally, a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with a minimum of 4 subjects passed at a minimum of 50% is required.

After submitting your application, you can monitor its status online by logging into the application portal at www.tut.ac.za with your allocated student number and PIN.
