TUT offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across seven faculties: Arts & Design, Economics & Finance, Engineering & the Built Environment, Humanities, ICT, Management Sciences, and Science.

Required Documents for Application
- Identification: Certified copy of your South African ID or passport, including the page with your name, photo, date of birth, and nationality.
- Academic Records:
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) or your highest academic results.
- If currently in Grade 12, submit your Grade 11 results along with a letter from your school confirming your enrollment in Grade 12.
- If upgrading your Matric results, include a letter from your institution stating your status and expected completion date.
- Application Fee: Proof of payment for the R240 application fee, including a copy of your receipt.
How to Apply
Prospective students can apply either online or by completing a printed Application for Admission form for the specified academic year. All application forms are officially authorized by the university.
General Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to TUT, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A pass in English at Senior Certificate level (minimum additional language; some programs may require first or home language).
- Each program has specific admission requirements that may vary from year to year.
- Some programs may require an admission test to determine eligibility or recommend enrollment in a foundation course.
