Tshwane University of Technology is now open for academic applications for the January 2026 intake, starting April 1, 2025. With over 60,000 students enrolled each year and offering more than 400 programs focused on career development, the application process is highly competitive. To maximize your chances of being accepted, it’s important to submit your application early—ideally before the September 30, 2025 deadline.

TUT Application Fee Payment Details
All prospective students of TUT, including both South African and international applicants, must pay a non-refundable application fee of R240. Payments should be made to the following account:
- Bank: ABSA

- Reference: Include your ID number when making the payment.

Documents Required For TUT Applications
You are required to submit the following documents, along with any additional materials that may be requested by the TUT online application system:
- A fully completed application form
- Recently certified copies of your documents (certification must not be older than one year)
- Copies of your original identity document
- National Senior Certificate and/or your highest academic qualifications
- Proof of payment for the administration fee

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Application Process
To apply and submit your 2026 application to Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), follow these steps.
- Visit www.tut.ac.za and select the STUDY@TUT option
- Click on “Apply Now.”
- Enter your student number.
- Enter your identity number/passport number
- Accept the consent form.
- Complete all the required fields.
- Enter your academic qualifications (previous school results)
- Select at least two (2) study courses.
- Upload the necessary documents in the specified format.
- Review your application and click submit.
- Check your email for the application reference number.
- Pay the application fee online or offline.
- Upload the receipt of the application fee (offline payment)
- Log out thereafter
