Port Elizabeth University, a well-respected college in South Africa, is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 academic year. Dower Campus:

• New candidates: The application window opens May 16, 2024, and closes September 19, 2024.

Iqhayiya Campus:

• New candidates: The application window opens June 27, 2024, and closes September 29, 2024.

Required Supporting document For PE Applications

The following documents must be attached to the fully completed application form before submitting it. Your form is invalid without the following documents:.

New Applicants

• A certificate of Good conduct from their previous institutions of learning or place of work
• A certified copy of the original school report must be presented on the application
• 8 certified copies of ID (where a student is 16 years of age or older) original must be presented on the application

Transfer Applicants

• A letter stating the reason for your transfer
• A letter to confirm that they have been de-registered at the previous institution
• A Certified copy of the Identity Document
• A report of their academic history on college letterhead, including Internal Continuous Assessment (ICASS) and Integrated Summative Assessment (ISAT) results
• The student’s Portfolios of Evidence for all subjects from the previous institution, if transferring during an academic year
• A Certificate of Good Conduct from their previous institution of learning

The steps to apply for admission to Port Elizabeth are as follows:.

Port Elizabeth Admission Requirements

The minimum requirement proposed by the Department of Higher Education for admission is Grade 11.

The admission requirements for other learners (non-NC (V))

• Vertical (Upward movement) articulation requirements must be met on the NQF structure
• Qualification-specific requirements must be met, e.g. SETA requirements
