NSFAS TVET Semester 2 Funding Application 2024
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has announced the opening dates for 2024 NSFAS applications for TVET College students. The scheme provides bursaries and loans to students from poor and working-class backgrounds, covering tuition fees, registration, accommodation, transport, and learning materials. Who Qualifies for NSFAS?
To qualify for an NSFAS bursary, you must be a South African citizen meeting one of the following criteria:
- SASSA recipient: Automatic financial eligibility.
- Household income: Less than R350 000 per year.
- Person with a disability: Household income less than R600 000 per year.
Key Dates for NSFAS TVET Walk-In Applications
Ensure your applications are submitted within the following timelines:
- Semester 2 Applications: Open from 9th July 2024 to 26th July 2024
- Trimester 3 Applications: Open from 2nd September 2024 to 20th September 2024
How to Apply for NSFAS
Applying for NSFAS is a straightforward process. Follow these steps:
- Visit www.nsfas.org.za and click on the myNSFAS button.
- Click on the application page to begin.
- Log onto www.nsfas.org.za and click on the myNSFAS tab.
- Click on register and tick on the acceptance option.
- Enter your ID number, name, surname, email address, and cellphone number.
- Create and confirm a password.
- Upload a copy of your ID.
- Click on register.
- Receive a one-time PIN (OTP) and submit.
- Complete the sections on the screen.
- Upload required supporting documents and click ‘Submit’.
Important NSFAS Application Documents
Kindly submit the following documents together with a fully completed online application form
- Copy of your ID or birth certificate
- ID copies of parents, guardian, or spouse (if applicable)
- Proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable)
- Parents’s guardian’s, or spouse’s proof of income (if applicable)
- Disability Annexure A Form (if applicable)
- Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form (if applicable)
- NSFAS 2024 Consent form
