NSFAS Student Portal Now Open For 2024-2025

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Online Application student portal for the 2024-2025 Academic year will be open from 28 September 2023 until 31 January 2024, Register your NSFAS account Now and be a user of the NSFAS Student Portal

NSFAS Student Portal is an online platform for students to manage their NSFAS bursary application process. This portal allows students to access information about their bursaries, make payments, apply for additional funding, and submit required documents. The NSFAS Student Portal provides a secure and convenient way to manage bursary applications. It is available 24/7 and helps to streamline bursary administration.

 

The Student Portal is accessible to all students who are registered with NSFAS and have a unique Student Number. Students will need this number to log in to the portal. Once logged in, students can access all the necessary information regarding their bursary. Through the portal, students will be able to check their application status, view messages from NSFAS, upload documents required for their application, and make payments.

 

Register NSFAS Student Portal Account 2024

To access the NSFAS Student Portal, students need to create an account and register on the official NSFAS website:

  • Log onto www.nsfas.org.za and click on the myNSFAS tab.
  • Click on register. Tick on the acceptance option to allow NSFAS to verify and validate the information you provided.
  • Type in your ID number as it appears on your ID document.
  • Type in your name and surname as they appear on your ID Document.
  • Type in your email address and cellphone number. Your username will be your email address.
  • Create a password and confirm your password.
  • Upload a copy of your ID.
  • Click on register.
  • After clicking register, a One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to the email address and cellphone number you provided.
  • Check your cellphone and email for the OTP.
  • Type in the OTP in the tab provided and click submit.
  • You will then receive another SMS and email confirming that your myNSFAS account has been created. You may now continue with your application.

 

 

How to Apply for additional funding via NSFAS Student Portal

You can apply for additional funds through the NSFAS student portal by following the steps below

  • Enter www.nsfas.org.za into your search engine and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab.
  • Set up a myNSFAS account
  • Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab and complete the sections on the screen
  • Submit by uploading all required supporting documents where applicable
  • Click on ‘Submit’ to submit your fully completed application form

 

How to UPLOAD NSFAS Application Documents through NSFAS STUDENT PORTAL

Follow the steps below to upload all outstanding NSFAS documents before the closing date for the academic year 2024-2025

  • Visit the NSFAS website and register for a student account.
  • After registering your student account, select the ‘My Documents’ link.
  • Click on ‘Upload Documents’ to select the documents that you would like to upload.
  • Browse and select the documents from your computer’s file explorer.
  • A pop-up window will appear and ask you to confirm the documents that you are uploading.
  • Once your documents have been uploaded, they will appear under the documents tab in your student account.
  • You can view the published documents in the documents tab and you can also print individual documents.

 

How to check NSFAS status via Student Portal

Check your NSFAS applications status by carrying out these steps

  • Visit the NSFAS Student Portal website (www.nsfas.org.za/mynsfas).
  • S Log in with your MyNSFAS username and password.
  • Your NSFAS status will appear on the homepage of the portal.
  • Once logged in, you can also view your application details, financial aid information and messages.

 

How to make payments through NSFAS Student Portal

You can make payments from your NSFAS Wallet using your NSFAS Student Portal

  • Log in to your NSFAS student portal using your student number and password.
  • Click “MyNSFAS” on the toolbar.
  • Select the “Payments” tab from the menu and select the link for your type of payment.
  • Review the payment information and if it’s accurate, click the “Submit” button.
  • Enter your payment card information.
  • Review the information entered then click the “Pay” button to submit the payment.
  • You will receive a confirmation that your payment has been processed successfully.
