The NSFAS online application for the 2026 academic year is open from September 1, 2025, until January 31, 2026. Be sure to apply by the close of the day on the closing date.

Eligibility for NSFAS 2026 Application

South African citizens or permanent residents can apply
The combined gross household income should not exceed R350,000 per year or R600,000 for applicants.
