Kisii University is officially inviting prospective citizens and non-citizens who are interested in enrolling in its undergraduate courses to apply for admission to the September intake of the 2024–2025 academic year. Applications for Kisii University’s intake for 2024–2025 are still open and being accepted. Kisii University will accept applications until August 29, 2024 (08/29/2024). Kisii University Application Deadline For 2024-2025
Prospective students have time to gather all supporting documentation and submit their applications within the application period, as the Kisii University online application will close on August 29, 2024, at midnight. The Kisii University application window opens on January 1, 2024, and closes on August 29, 2024, for the academic year 2024–2025. After the deadline, applications will not be accepted by Kisii University.

When applying for the September 2024 intake, you must submit the original copies of the following documents:

- school leaving certificate,
- National ID (or birth certificate)
- Proof of payment (application fee)

Kisii University 2024–2025 application fees and requirements
Prospective students must pay a non-refundable application fee of KShs 1,000.00 for diploma and certificate programs at Kisii University, or KShs 2,000.00 for degree programs. A waiver of fees is not available to any applicant. Therefore, it is best to attach proof of payment to the application so that it can be submitted before the deadline.
Only applications that have been paid for, along with meeting all of the other entry requirements, will be taken into consideration for admission for the September 2024 intake.
The required application fees must be paid by all applicants in any of the university’s approved bank accounts, including the National Bank of Kenya
Kisii University Entry and Minimum Admission Requirements
Admission for qualifications leading to a certificate, diploma, or bachelor’s degree will be based on academic performance. The following minimum entry requirements, qualifications, and certificates will determine which courses will be offered to applicants.
Certificate Qualifications
- KCSE mean grade of C- or equivalent.
- An O’ level mean grade of Division III or equivalent.
- An A’ Level qualification with a minimum of two subsidiary passes or equivalent.
Diploma Qualifications
- KCSE mean grade C.
- KCSE mean grade C- or equivalent plus a Certificate
- An O’ level qualification with a minimum division III or equivalent
- An A’ level qualification with a minimum of two subsidiary passes or equivalent

- KCSE mean grade C+ or equivalent
- KCSE mean grade C- or equivalent plus a Certificate and Diploma

How to Apply in Kisii University 2024-2025
While self-sponsored students can apply for any undergraduate program by obtaining an application form online or from admissions offices after paying the application fee, government-sponsored students must apply to Kisii University through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). After paying an application fee, students apply for courses using the forms that are provided by the university and can be obtained from its website, campuses, or other locations.
How to Apply for a Course at Kissi University
To apply online for undergraduate courses at Kisii University for the 2024–2025 academic year, prospective applicants should follow the instructions provided below.
- Go to the KUCCPS application website at www.kuccps.ac.ke
- Click the Student’s Portal tab.
- On the portal, click the Login tab.
- Enter your KCSE Index Number
- Enter your KCSE year and your password. (KCPE index number/birth certificate number.)
- Select Kisii University as your choice of university
- Choose and note the course code.
- To apply, click Application/Revision and key in the programme codes in the provided form in the order of priority.
- Once the system has accepted all your programme codes
- Submit your fully completed application form.
