Kisii University is inviting both prospective citizens and non-citizens to apply for admission to its undergraduate programs for the September 2025 intake of the 2025-2026 academic year. Applications are currently open and will close on August 29, 2025. Kisii University Application Deadline For 2025-2026

Prospective students have until August 29, 2025, at midnight to gather their supporting documents and submit their applications, as the online application for Kisii University will close at that time. The application period for the 2025–2026 academic year opens on January 1, 2025, and ends on August 29, 2025. Kisii University will not accept any applications submitted after the deadline.

Documents Needed to Apply to Kisii University For 2025

When applying for the September 2025 intake, you must submit the original copies of the following documents:

KCSE results slip or certificate,
Medical certificate,
school leaving certificate,
National ID (or birth certificate)
Proof of payment (application fee)
Two passport-sized photographs

Kisii University Application Fees and Payment Details

The non-refundable application fees for Kisii University are as follows:

KSh 1,000 for diploma and certificate programs.
KSh 2,000 for degree programs.

Note: Proof of payment must be attached to your application. Payments should be made to Kisii University’s approved bank accounts, including the National Bank of Kenya. Fee waivers are not available.

Kisii University Admission Requirements

Kisii University’s minimum entry requirements depend on the level of the program you’re applying to. Here are the basic requirements:

Certificate Qualifications:

KCSE mean grade of C- or equivalent.
O’ level Division III or equivalent.
A’ Level with at least two subsidiary passes or equivalent.

Diploma Qualifications:

KCSE mean grade C.
KCSE mean grade C- or equivalent plus a Certificate.
O’ level Division III or equivalent.
A’ Level with at least two subsidiary passes or equivalent.

Degree Courses:

KCSE mean grade C+ or equivalent.
KCSE mean grade C- or equivalent plus a Certificate and Diploma.
