UCT 2027 Online Applications: Dates, Fees, Prospectus & Courses

The University of Cape Town (UCT) is now open for 2027 applications. Applicants with strong National Senior Certificate (NSC) results, satisfactory National Benchmark Test (NBT) scores, and the required Admission Point Score (APS) are invited to apply for the 2027 academic year. Applications open on 1 April 2026.

Due to the competitive selection process, applicants must ensure that they meet all the specific entry requirements for their chosen programme. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission but increases your chances of being selected.

When will UCT 2027 applications close?

Undergraduate Applications

  • Opening Date: 1 April 2026

  • Closing Date: 31 July 2026

  • Applications submitted after the deadline may only be considered if space is available.

Postgraduate Applications

  • Closing Date: 31 August 2026
