Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) is excited to announce that the 2026 application cycle will open in April 2025! Prospective students, regardless of language, race, nationality, or belief, are encouraged to prepare all necessary academic and non-academic documents in advance of the 2026 application window.
Applicants who submit their applications early and meet all the admission and course-specific requirements will be given top priority. Be sure to read through this article for additional details and valuable tips to help ensure your success.
Students wishing to apply for undergraduate programs (diplomas, higher certificates, bachelor’s degrees) and postgraduate programs (master’s and doctoral degrees) for the 2026 academic year must submit separate applications for each program, along with the required documentation. However, there is only one application fee for both undergraduate and postgraduate applications.
Be sure to mark the following important dates if you plan to apply for the 2026 academic intake at Tshwane University of Technology:
April 1, 2025 (Tuesday): Opening of all TUT Academic and Residential Applications.

When filling out the application form, indicate whether you wish to apply for housing. Students accepted into a full-time program may be eligible for on-campus accommodation.
A non-refundable application fee of R240 is required from all prospective students applying to Tshwane University of Technology for the 2026 academic year. Ensure that the payment is made before the deadline, as late payments will not be accepted. Please include the proof of payment with your application submission.
