Applying for a study course at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) for 2025-2026

Students who wish to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the Tshwane University of Technology should do so separately for the academic year 2025-2026 and provide the necessary documentation for each. Applicants will, however, only pay one application fee for both qualifications.

Tshwane University of Technology Online Application Dates for 2025-2026

Applications for the 2025–2026 academic year open on March 1, 2024 for all programs, and all undergraduate programs close on Monday, 30 September 2024. However, online applications for postgraduate programs will close as follows:

15 June for all international applicants.
28 February for January intake or 31 July for July intake.

TUT Application Fee for 2025-2026

A non-refundable R240 application fee for administrative services. If you pay the application fee electronically or at a bank, the application form must be submitted along with the proof of payment. You are hereby encouraged to pay the fee before the deadlines because applications fee received after the deadlines will not be accepted. Applications to Tshwane University of Technology must be submitted between March 1 and September 30, 2024, inclusive of the application fee.

Below are the documents to be attached for undergraduate & Post Graduate Applicants

Undergraduate

A fully completed application form
Recently certified (certification may not be not older than one year)
Copies of your original identity document and
National Senior Certificate and/or highest academic results
Proof of Administration fee payment

Postgraduate

Identity document.
Official proof that all the requirements for a diploma or degree have been met.
An academic record in respect of studies at another tertiary institution.

Please Note:

A prospective applicant will not be admitted to any qualification without submitting a formal application form along with all necessary supporting documentation and successfully completing the formal admission procedures for the academic year 2025-2026. In essence, paying an administrator extra or following specific procedures are not legal ways to gain admission to Tshwane University of Technology. Admission to TUT is extremely selective and competitive, based on academic standing and available space for 2025.
