Is CPUT Still Open For 2025 Applications
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is still accepting applications for its 2025 academic program, with early submission recommended for the second window. The university recommends one application per academic year, but applicants can choose at least two study courses on the one application form during the 2025 application season.
Even though there is competition for the courses offered by the CPUT, you must meet the standards to be admitted. However, based on our study, CPUT approves more than 91% of the annual submissions. However, this suggests that you might be able to get accepted with a little academic effort.
CPUT 2025 Application Dates
All departments and courses at CPUT, Cape Peninsula University, are already accepting applications for the academic year 2024-2025 as of May 15. Every course is available for undergraduate, graduate, online, and distance learning levels. The timeframes are the only item that differs according to qualification, though. Undergraduate programs, for instance, will end on October 31, 2024, but late applications will be allowed beginning on February 1.
While postgraduate courses have various closing dates. Some postgraduate courses have early July 31 completion dates. If you are applying for a Master’s or Doctorate through coursework or research, the application deadline is March 15, 2025.
What Is The Closing Date For CPUT Applications 2025?
Undergraduate and postgraduate applications for CPUT must be submitted by October 31, 2024, and March 15, 2025 respectively. Starting February 1, 2025, only undergraduates will have access to CPUT’s reopened application for late applications for open courses. Late applications are only accepted for undergraduate courses that are still open as of the general closing date. There are limited courses available for late admissions, and there is a short window of opportunity. Despite this, CPUT generally accepts late applications as long as there are open courses.
How much is the application Fee For CPUT 2025?
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) requires manual application forms submitted after the closing date to be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of R150.00. Failure to include proof of payment in the required supporting documents for 2025 will result in the application not being considered. Online applications for CPUT 2025 are free, and there are no associated fees for the CPUT online application.
CPUT Late Application Supporting Documents Required 2025
To be accepted for 2025 late admissions at CPUT, applicants must manually deliver or upload necessary documents to the campus or upload them online, as neglecting to submit any of these documents could be fatal.
CPUT online application form for late admissions must be accompanied by the following documents:
- Proof of your application fee payment ( An Applicant must provide a copy)
- Your identity document’s first page (This must be certified)
- A copy of the Senior Certificate or a comparable qualification (Certified). Please submit your Grade 11 grades. If you’re in Grade 12 right now,
- Original Academic Records and a Certificate of Conduct, as well as verified copies of any other certificates, diplomas, or degrees you have previously acquired from any other higher education institution.

- Any additional documentation required for the program to which you are applying, as specified in the application form and admission Requirements, must be submitted within the closing date.
How to Apply CPUT Online Application Form 2025
To complete the CPUT late application forms online, follow the outlined steps below
STEP 1: LOGIN DETAILS
- Log onto the CPUT application website: https://www.cput.ac.za
- At the top menu of the page, click on “How to Apply”
STEP 2: COURSE SELECTION
- Choose your Course after examining the specific course requirements. This stage is very key to gaining admission into this University. Consult people if you don’t know what to choose.
STEP 3: FILL OUT YOUR APPLICATION
- Get an online application form
- Fill in the online application form with the information Required. Asterisks (*) are indicated on the REQUIRED/COMPULSORY Field. Forfeiting any of those will render your application void.
STEP 4: PAY YOUR APPLICATION FEE
- Pay the Non-Refundable application fee of R150. The banking details of the university are provided in this post. See below;

- Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents. These Documents must be in the format required by the university
STEP 6: SUBMIT YOUR COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM
- Submit your completed online application form and documents. Review to ensure the right thing is done before clicking on the Button or sending the hard copy either by mail or hand delivery
STEP 7: CHECK YOUR STATUS
- Follow up and check your admission status. Some of the Universities and colleges may communicate with you via the email provided during your application. This is why your email and contact details must be actively working after your application. You may however visit the official portal to track your application.
