All applicants are to submit their applications as soon as possible as late applications will be rejected. Prospective students are to complete all the required fields before submitting their application.

Required Documents for WSU Application 2025

The following is a list of all the supporting documents needed to apply to Walter Sisulu University for the academic year 2025-2026.

The certificate “Old Senior”
The N6 credential is a combination of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) and the National Certificate Vocational (NCV).
Grade 11 final results, as well as first quarter or mid-year results, if available, must be uploaded by current grade 12 students.
Candidates for post-matric must provide a matric or equivalent certificate, academic record, and a copy of their ID or passport.

Walter Sisulu University (WSU) Entry Requirements for 2025

The general requirement for admission to study for a degree qualification is a matriculation exemption certificate or a National Senior Certificate endorsed for degree admission.

The standard requirement for admission to study a diploma or certificate qualification is a school leaving certificate with the minimum aggregate symbol E-S, or National Senior Certificate endorsed for diploma or certificate admission. All students will be required to satisfy any additional criteria prescribed by the Senate and/or the faculties concerned.

To study for a postgraduate degree qualification, the general requirement for admission is possession of a preceding degree (e.g. first degree for Honours studies, Honours degree or equivalent for master’s studies, and master’s degree for Doctoral studies). The preceding degree must have been passed at an acceptable level
