Central University of Technology (CUT) is accepting undergraduate and graduate applications for the 2026 academic year, which runs from May 13 to September 30, 2025. Admission will be considered solely for those who meet the entry requirements for the courses they have chosen. During this period, prospective students can complete and submit their applications online through the updated CUT application portal

CUT will accept undergraduate and graduate applications online for the 2026 academic year, which spans May 13–September 30, 2025. Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected. Applicants must ensure that their supporting documents are certified and that the rules are followed correctly, since responses will be delivered within 6 to 10 weeks.
CUT Online Application Requirements for 2026
Upload the documents below when applying for the CUT 2026 admissions
- Current Matriculants: upload final Grade 11 results or Grade 12 June results.
- Already-matriculated applicants: you will have to upload your certified ID and senior certificate.
- Higher Qualifications than Matric: You will have to upload your certified ID, senior certificate, your qualification(s), and study record.
- Postgraduate Applicants: Visit the Head of the Department / Assistant Deans of Research Innovation and Engagement to discuss a research project for a Masters or Doctorate study before applying online. For more information, see Postgraduate Studies.
How to Apply Online to the Central University of Technology for 2026
You will need an email address, an internet connection, a personal contact, and an approved ID or passport number to apply to CUT. Please follow the steps below:
- Visit https://enroll.cut.ac.za/pls/prodi41/gen.gw1pkg.gw1view
- If you already have a student number, we will provide a URL to log into the institution Portal, iEnabler to apply
- You need to use your student number and pin to log in
New/First-time applicants: - Make sure you have an active email address; all communication with CUT will be communicated via this email address
- On each page, click the “NEXT” button to SAVE data from the page
- The Application process is only completed when the “SUBMIT APPLICATION“ button is clicked at the end of the process
- A confirmation email should be received after successfully submitting your application. If you do not receive such an email, please email us at apply@cut.ac.za
Information On Supporting Documents For All Applicants
- Please ensure that you have the certified required documents to be uploaded
- Your application will only be considered complete once all the relevant documents are uploaded
- All documents must be in PDF format.
- Application to the CUT are free of charge
The university recognizes that not everyone has the opportunity to study full-time on the main campus. As a result, selected learning programs are available at CUT’s Welkom Campus. Some learning programs can also be pursued electronically via the internet using modern technology. CUT is thus living up to its status and reputation as a technological university.
CUT Entry Requirements
The National Benchmark Test (NBT) is mandatory for all first-year applicants to higher education institutions. The test must be written before you can register to study at CUT.
