Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) has announced 2026 late undergraduate and postgraduate application dates. Unfortunately, the application window for this second session is short due to limited course availability, so applicants are advised to submit their applications as soon as possible. The 2026 late application period is for all returning students and those who missed the initial application window.
Late 2026 Application Period for CPUT
Applicants who missed the initial application window at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) have another opportunity to apply during the late application period. However, this period is limited due to the scarcity of available spaces. The late application window opens on November 1, 2024.
CPUT Late Application for Selected Courses
Cape Peninsula University of Technology is currently accepting late applications for selected undergraduate programs, including diplomas, higher certificates, postgraduate diplomas, and bachelor’s degrees. Applicants are urged to submit their applications as soon as possible. A non-refundable late application fee of R150 is required for submissions starting November 1, 2024. Late applications will only be considered if the chosen course is still available

To apply online at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), late applicants must have the following:

Who Qualifies to Apply for Admission at CPUT
- To be considered for admission to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, an applicant must meet the university’s minimum requirements.
- Applicants must additionally meet the university’s faculty-specific entrance requirements in order to be accepted.
- During the application procedure, an applicant has paid the online application or registration fee.
- To have a successful application, all supporting documents must be uploaded.

- At the top menu of the page, click on “How to Apply”
STEP 2: COURSE SELECTION
- Choose your course after examining the specific course requirements. This stage is very key to gaining admission into this university. Consult people if you don’t know what to choose.
STEP 3: FILL OUT YOUR APPLICATION
- Get an online application form
- Fill out the online application form with the information required. Asterisks (*) are indicated on the REQUIRED/COMPULSORY field. Forfeiting any of those will render your application void.
STEP 4: PAY YOUR APPLICATION FEE

- Gather your documents or upload further/outstanding documents. These Documents must be in the format required by the university
STEP 6: SUBMIT YOUR COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM
- Submit your completed online application form and documents. Review to ensure the right thing is done before clicking on the Button or sending the hard copy either by mail or hand delivery
STEP 7: CHECK YOUR STATUS
- Follow up and check your admission status. Some of the universities and colleges may communicate with you via the email provided during your application. This is why your email and contact details must be actively working after your application. You may, however, visit the official portal to track your application.
