Courses Still Available At CPUT For 2025/2026
Apply to CPUT University’s undergraduate, honours, master’s, and doctorate programs, which have a large influence both locally and globally. You can still apply for courses at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in the 2025 academic year. Beginning May 13, all interested candidates were given the opportunity by CPUT to apply for their particular courses online or in person, but now is the time if you have not done so yet. The UNDERGRADUATE application portal closed as of September 30, 2024, and has been reopened until all available courses are filled.
CPUT Postgraduate Application Deadline
On the other hand, CPUT has extended the deadline for postgraduate online applications for research master’s and doctoral programs for the academic year 2025 to March 15 2025.
Eligible Applicants For CPUT 2025 Late Application
The following group of applicants are all eligible to apply for the courses that are still open for the 2025 late applications at CPUT. CPUT Late applications are open only to:
- Applicants who exhausted only 1 or 2 options out of the maximum of 3 choices for applications submitted during the normal application timelines
- Applicants who did not apply during the general application dates s(First Application Window)
- Cape Peninsula University of Technology students who have taken a gap in their studies
- Applicants apply for some selected Phasing out programmes
- Advanced Diploma (Students who have completed a National Diploma/Diploma/Bachelors Degree or equivalent studies)
- Postgraduate studies – Master Tech/Master Course-based programmes
- Postgraduate studies – Post Graduate Diploma programmes
CPUT International Applications 2025
Please be aware that CPUT does not accept late applications from foreign applicants. This means that candidates with any international credentials must finish and submit their applications together with all necessary additional documentation during the initial application window. As a result, your submissions will not be taken into account after the deadlines for general offshore applicants.
All international undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications obtained must first be evaluated and verified by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) before submitting applications for studying at CPUT. SAQA is responsible for issuing of Letter of Undertaking which contains the duration of the study and is submitted to the SA High Commission in order to apply for the study visa.

Choose 3 of these courses and follow the steps below to apply before the CPUT online application closing date
- Log onto the CPUT application website: https://www.cput.ac.za
- At the top menu of the page, click on “How to Apply”
- Choose your Course after examining the specific course requirements. This stage is very key to gaining admission into this University. Consult people if you don’t know what to choose.
- Get an online application form
- Fill in the online application form with the information Required. Asterisks (*) are indicated on the REQUIRED/COMPULSORY Field. Forfeiting any of those will render your application void.
- Pay the Non-Refundable application fee of R150. The banking details of the university are provided in this post. See below;

- Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents. These Documents must be in the format required by the university
- Submit your completed online application form and documents. Review to ensure the right thing is done before clicking on the Button or sending the hard copy either by mail or hand delivery
- Follow up and check your admission status. CPUT may communicate with you via the email provided during your application. This is why your email and contact details must be actively working after your application. You may however visit the official portal to track your application.
CPUT Admission Requirements For
- Passes of at least five different subjects of the IGCSE and HIGCSE study levels, of which at least two are HIGCSE level subjects.
- A pass in the language which is the medium of instruction at the University (English or Afrikaans).
- Specific pass grades: IGCSE: A, B or C; HIGCSE: 1, 2 or 3.
- To be successful in your studies, you need a certain level of proficiency in English ( Test in English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 550; or a 6.5 on the International Testing System (IELTS).
