Apply For Cape Peninsula University of Technology 2026
Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) will accept online applications for the 2026 academic year from May 12, 2025, to October 31, 2025, for undergraduate programs, with the exception of postgraduate courses, which will close on March 15, 2026. Prospective students must apply by the deadline to be considered for admission. Late applications may be considered if room is still available in the preferred program. To apply, visit www.cput.ac.za and finish the process using the university’s site.
Application Dates for 2026
CPUT’s online and paper application forms for the 2026 academic year will be available starting May 12, 2025. Applicants must submit their completed applications and supporting documents by March 14, 2026, with deadlines varying by course or qualification, as detailed below.
- BE.d Foundation: Intermediate & Senior Phase
- Bachelor in Nursing and Extended
- Diploma Grade R;
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education
- Advanced Diploma in Teaching & Vocational Teaching

International Applications
- Non-SA citizens
- SA citizens with an international qualification
- 31 August 2025
- South African citizens, i.e. refugees and individuals with permanent SA residency status
- Undergraduate programmes including Advanced Diploma Programme NOT closing on 31 August 2025

Application Fee
There is no application fee for applying to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology under any circumstances. However, the online application at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology is free, whereas the manual application is not. All manual applications are subject to an R100 non-refundable application fee. Applying online to CPUT is simple, and we encourage all new applicants to do so in order to benefit from the application fee waiver.
To apply to CPUT, you will need:

- A smart device
- An email address
- A valid ID number or Passport
- Certified copies of some required documents

Application Documents Required
Whether you apply online or in person, the following documents are required: Before submitting these documents, they must be certified.
- Proof of your application fee payment ( An Applicant must provide a copy.)
- Your identity document’s first page. This must be certified.
- A copy of the senior certificate or a comparable qualification (certified). Please submit your Grade 11 grades. If you’re in Grade 12 right now,
- Original Academic Records and a Certificate of Conduct, as well as verified copies of any other certificates, diplomas, or degrees you have previously acquired from any other higher education institution.
- Any additional documentation required for the program to which you are applying, as specified in the application form and admission requirements, must be submitted.
International applicants will be required to submit the following documents (certified copies less than three (3) months old):
- All qualification documents
- Academic transcripts
- Final certificates
- SAQA certificate (compulsory for all International applicants)
- Passport or Refugee/Asylum Seeker Permit

- Applicants under 18 must first download and complete the minor declaration form before starting to apply.
- To start with your applications, choose your qualification after reading about the requirement
- Complete the online application form by answering all the required questions
- Gather and upload all the required documents
- Submit your application form for panel review
- Follow up and get your application status by visiting cput.ac.za.study/track
Get an Application Form for CPUT:
There are two ways you can get a form to apply for admission:
- Download a PDF of the form that you can print at home
- Collect a printed form at the Registration and Applications Office on the various campuses.
- Completed application forms and accompanying documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office.
